The Joy of Grandchildren

Some of the great joys of our life now are our grandchildren!! Our daughters Jen, Carolyn, and Catherine and their husbands are phenomenal parents to their rapidly growing families. It's exciting and inspiring for us! The saga of the Brown Family has included 3 children in the first five years of marriage- John Paul, Gabriel, and Monica. The Berg Clan has followed a similar pattern with two sons, Frederick and Jack, and Gemma, our youngest grandchild, born April 23, 2008. The Heil Family saga includes Lydia, who will be one year old on July 24. In December Lydia will learn to share Mommy and Daddy when her new brother or sister is born. Until July 2007 we had only grandsons, but three granddaughters have been born in less than a year! Thank you, Carolyn and Luis, Catherine and Tom, and Jen and Matthew, for your beautiful marriages and families. Your children are a great gift. As Grandad says, life goes on! Thank the Lord!!!

Lorrie and Fred,

Everyone looks so radiant and gorgeous; what fabulous pictures! I'm so happy that you got to share this family vacation together, and I hope you get to continue to do this, even as your family continues to grow and grow and GROW!

Hey Mom & Dad- YAY- this is great. Thanks for starting this. It beats trying to communicate solely by phone & emails- neither of which I personally very fond of. The only thing you have left to do is put yourself on facebook!!! Just kidding. I'm not ready for that addiction either. The pictures are great. Even though I give you a hard time for taking too many pictures, you sure end up with some good ones.
Time for bed- I'm finishing this while Jen's birthday cake for tomorrow bakes in the oven...
Love,cal

Lorrie, you took beautiful pictures of all of your children and grandchildren! Hopefully you put your beach pictures up on a rolling slide show on your computer to keep the memories fresh.

Scott said that he was talking to the principal of St. Joe's about beach vacations, and she said a line that he wants to steal and use as his own - "My soul needs the beach!" ... Amen! I think we all could echo that.

What do you think Fred? Is it almost as good as Disney? :)

what a great and memorable trip but not disneyworld teresa. almost but not quite. There is no place lke disney as luis ssid its like going to the carribean, a small town in europe there is nothing else like it. but family dinners in ocesn city are just as good.but teresa it doesn't do anything for my disneyaholicism.

Boy Fred, you said it! We've just got to get you back to Disney! ... And I wouldn't mind hopping aboard that train as well :)
